Christian Values
Alongside all the fun and activities at Glod, we provide the chance for young people to explore what they think about the Christian faith and its relevance for today. Each day, there are two short talks about Jesus and his teaching from the Bible. Everyone attends these meetings, which are informal, engaging and assume no prior knowledge. In the evenings there is also ‘dorm time’ where the young people in their dorm groups discuss informally what they have learnt that day and share their own views. On the Senior camps they also attend during the camp three 30 minute seminars which consider some common questions that teenagers have regarding faith.
We hope to encourage a warm atmosphere, in which every individual has the freedom to question and investigate for themselves in an unpressurised environment. While all the leaders at Glod are committed Christians, we recognise that the young people come from a range of different backgrounds and faiths, and some from no faith background. All are welcomed and respected.
Please get in touch if you want to know more about this aspect of the holiday.
